A person be hurt
Before they turn back
To the old ways

Before they once again
Become
Unfeeling,
Uncaring.
And whisper the words
They long ago denied?
Before they become
What they so long ignored?
Didn't I ever tell you
What happens
To those
Who hurt me?
You should have listened to me.
